What that really means…
(And how You can get there too!)
This isn’t a blog about luxury or hustle. It’s not about depriving yourself either. It’s about money — and what it’s actually for.
At its core, the Soft FIRE Method is about freedom. The kind of freedom that lets you spend quality time with your kids. It means you don’t miss the little moments, you know, the ones that are actually the biggest. The moments that make up a childhood. The kind that lets you choose rest with your family without guilt. The kind that rewrites the story you’ve been told: that motherhood and financial security must come at the cost of your time, your peace, or your joy.
So yes, I “retired” in my 30s — not because I cashed out of work culture, but because I decided enough was enough. Enough stress. Enough mental load. Enough watching my life go by on someone else’s schedule.
Soft FIRE isn’t traditional FIRE.
We don’t worship at the altar of spreadsheets or give up coffee or kids to reach a random number. We design our days now, while we still have small hands reaching for ours. We still save aggressively — often 50% of income or more — but with intention, not austerity. We invest in long-term freedom, not just dollar signs.
And you? If you’re here, you probably feel like something’s off. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by expenses, tired of juggling too many roles, or just sick of wondering where all your time and money are going. You might even be asking:
“Is this it?”
The good news? No, it’s not. You don’t need to “wait until retirement” to have a life. You don’t need to burn out in order to build wealth. You just need a new framework.
Soft FIRE is that framework.
Here’s what we’ll do:
We’ll rewire how you think about money, motherhood, and meaning.
We’ll reject the idea that you have to choose between presence and power.
We’ll create systems so your money works in the background — while you live.
And we’ll do it all without shame, spreadsheets, or sacrificing what matters most.
Your current financial reality might fall somewhere on a familiar spectrum:
- You’re debt-free, saving with intention, and on track to downshift work
- You’re stable but still spending more than you’d like
- You’re juggling credit card debt, car loans, or a life that’s outpacing your income
- Or you’re just trying to survive and wondering how people ever feel free
Wherever you are, you’re not stuck. You’re just early in the story. Most people stay stuck because they believe freedom is for other people — the ones with fewer kids or higher incomes or “better discipline.”
That’s a lie.
Financial peace doesn’t require perfection. It requires a system. It requires intention. And it requires belief that your life — right now — is worthy of something better than burnout.
Welcome to Soft FIRE. Let’s build a life you don’t need to escape from.
